YES, WE MADE IT =)

We made it! After a whole month of living with my awesome in-laws we are in our own place again :) We got here on saturday (2 days ago). We didn't receive the warm welcome that we were hoping for...the carpet was dirty (it looked like it hadn't been cleaned at all), there were spiders in almost every corner and a few spider nest (yuck), flies in the kitchen cabinets and fridge (food anyone?), mold in a few places, and the counters weren't even sanitized! (or so it seemed). The water wasn't turned on till today so we went for 2 days without running water! It was interesting...the A/C wasn't fixed until today either. HOT BEAST. It was up to 108 degrees today! Not fun to sleep in that weather let alone move in with no A/C. Tonight I think DJ and I will sleep like champ :) Oh sweet, sweet A/C. How I love you. The carpets were also cleaned today. We were so mad when we saw that the carpet was as dirty as it was. It turned our feet black! DJ vacuumed the night we moved in and it looked a little better. Our little apartment is starting to come together now. The washer and dishwasher still need to be fixed though. I turned on the washer to rinse it before putting a load of clothes in and it peed all over! I didn't notice it until I went to grab something above it and stepped into a large puddle.

Other than all that Springdale Arkansas is great. I love it! There are so many places to shop, eat, play, explore...you name it! There is even an ice skating rink that's FREE! I love ice skating so this is my dream come true. Since I passed the Praxis I am now qualified to work in the school system so tonight and tomorrow I am going to apply all over in hopes of getting a better job than Murphy's (a gas station). This new Murphy's that I transferred to a lot bigger than the one I worked at in Monett. A lot bigger! They said I should be able to get sundays off no problem and I shouldn't have to work the night shifts, so it wouldn't be too bad if I had to stay there. Also I get a rise here soon and tuition reimbursement for school. Oh life is great! I love this area. DJ and I also signed up for Worlds Gym today. AMAZING. It is huge, clean, great music, no kids yelling (like at the YMCA we went to in Monett), and we get free tanning! =D
